Street Fire Studios is a music mixing studio, whose mission is to make you sound the best you. I offer mixing sessions at very affordable rates. Protools is our standard DAW platform, and I use industry standard brands such as UAD, Waves, Soundlab. We coordinate file transfers through Dropbox which gives you very quick access to listen to your mix for reference. I have been a musician for 30 years and have two albums myself, it would be my pleasure to work along side you, to achieve your artistic and musical goals.

Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am working on my third album and expect to release it this year.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I am an in the box mixer, meaning I primarily use the digital platforms. The digital domain has come along way creating tools that mirror the analog world that the average listener cannot tell the difference.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will be fair, patient and accommodating to the best of my ability.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Watching clients respond when they see and hear their vision come to life.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: "How many revisions can I make before I spend more money", answer: "depends on how extensive".
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That I need thousands of dollars of equipment to be professional.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is your vision for your music, Who is your favorite musician, How can I help you achieve your goals.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Make sure the provider has your best interest at heart and can assist you to reach your goals.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Computer, Monitor, interface, Headphones, Guitar.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started as a musician playing drums and then moving into the song writing area and learned to play guitar and bass. Two albums later I decided to mix and master and am very passionate about it.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Patient and accommodating.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would like to work with Vince Gill, he has a tremendous talent and has an extensive knowledge base.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't get pigeon holed and lose sight of the overall picture.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop-Rock, Pop and Rock.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Investigating and accomplishing my clients goals.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I like to bring an organic and cohesive mix to an artist and then tweak subtle changes from there.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My work flow varies depending on the genre and nature of the song, but typically I will build everything around the vocals after setting the low end right.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My set up consists of an UAD Apollo twin, Protools, UAD plugins, Waves Plugins, Soundlab suite and M-audio studio Monitors.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Jacquire King and Joe Carrell have very inspirational approaches to music production.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: My work primarily consists of mixing various styles of music and mastering.
