I am a very agile, tightly groove oriented drum set player. I enjoy playing blues, rock, and jazz as well as hip/hop / R&B drumming. My main goal is to make the song or music feel great as well as utilize any creative ideas I can produce from the track into my drumming.
I have studied about 8 years or so from several accomplished jazz artists. I have also been involved in countless open mics and lots of recording sessions from at home tape based recordings with a single mic all the way through the studio tracking with engineer mixing.

Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Taking my playing to the next level in terms of technique and dynamics
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started playing drums in high school, playing with friends and recording as well as being in several bands. I then progressed onto playing open mics when I turned 21 and began playing open mics even when I was on vacation I found myself in bars or clubs listening to music live.

A: All the complexities of technology can choke the sound and feeling of the playing

A: groove melody
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring a strong sense of style and back-beat to the track so long as I can feel its general structure and time
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Listen to the song, record and play over to draft some ideas, then elaborate on my initial feeling as well as gain any feedback from other people

A: Gretsch drums, Paiste / Sabian cymbals, 2 snare drums, double bass and single bass-drum pedals, 2 floor toms
