Mixing Warm Wide and Silky. My top priority is to convey the song's musicality and dimension to the audience, as imagined by you.

Hi there!
My name's George and I'm a Mixing Engineer with over 6 years of experience across a wide range of genres.
Studying in Abbey Road Studios and then working in its premises, I have seen and learnt from its top tier engineers.
With a wide musical background and studies (professional composer and pianist) I can very quickly and easily understand the artists needs and transform them into the right mixing decisions.
I have experience mixing analog and in the box and I have worked with a great amount of artists around the world.

Wether your music needs some final polishing, or you're an emerging artist searching for your "sound", I'd be happy to be of help.

Geogre is a pleasure to work with and I cannot wait for our next project together! George mixed my debut single and from the beginning of the process I felt very confident that he will do a great job. He is a great listener and can translate emotions into the mix so well. He is extremely patient with all minor details that I had in mind. The knowledge and professional approach really make him stand out as a mixing engineering. Most importantly he’s an amazing person I could trust with my song and I am so proud of what he did. I can guarantee everyone will be happy with the outcome of his work!

I had George mix and master my debut single and he has done such a great job with it! George is a very detail-minded engineer - He treated my song with such delicate care and he's always keen to find the perfect sound to elevate the song to its' maximum potential sonically. His mix was transparent - He managed to align and deliver my vision sonically, not just the typical louder sound - but the mix was so in-depth with so many layers between the instruments and voices (BVs and Lead Vocal), and it was exactly the sound that I was looking for. I look forward to working with him again!

George is an incredible engineer to work with! Really knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. It was clear from the beginning that anything he did in the mixing stage was to make sure it aligned with what I was looking for. There were a few points in the song that I gave him where I wasn't quite sure what needed to happen, and he came up with a few different production ideas as well that made the song blossom. I'm incredibly happy with George's mixing abilities and can't wait to work with him again!

Interview with George (Journeyman)

  1. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  2. A: Feeling secure for trusting their music with me along the whole process. We will work as a team and I will never make decisions upon showing off my skills. I will always be honest and available to explain my way of thinking to my clients. That way we can Make their vision come to life using my skills and experience

  3. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  4. A: That mixing is a solitary process . I am here to work as a team. I would be more than happy to explain my thinking to the artist so they feel comfortable and in control, understanding my part of the work to their music and encourage questions.

  5. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  6. A: Ideally for a zoom discussion so to have a chat on their vision for the song, references and a rough mix. There's so much more you can understand while talking to someone instead of just reading an email.

  7. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  8. A: Take some time to do a rough mix to share, even if you're not comfortable or familiar with the process. You can't imagine how much of your taste and thinking an experienced engineer can see through it. Also if you provide references, try to think what it is that you like so much about them and pass that information to your engineer.

  9. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  10. A: A coffee tree (cause what's the point without coffee?), Marcel Proust masterpiece -In search of the lost time, UAD plugins, a MacBook, Shure sm7

  11. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  12. A: I have been a professional musician for 15 years, working in studios as an engineer for the last 6 years.

  13. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  14. A: At the moment I am mixing 3 new singles of 3 different emerging artists that sound truly phenomenal and can not wait to share with you all!

  15. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  16. A: Digital with analog flavour. At this day and age and after being incredibly lucky to mix fully analog, using Abbey Road's equipment, my approach is mixing in the box, but utilising analog emulations, since the differences are so tiny. This is how you get the best out of both worlds. Emulations give you the warmth and the wide colour palette, while in the box gives you speed and efficiency making it very smooth and fast to do recalls and revisions. That way clients receive best results in the shortest time frame.

  17. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  18. A: Meeting creative people and the thrill and excitement of not knowing where the next project is going to take me! There is not a fitting-all solution for our craft. That means that for every project there's possibility of exploring territories you have never tried before, while managing artists' expectations.

  19. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  20. A: Being very personal in my approach, carefully listening for what the artist needs

  21. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  22. A: My Abbey Road Studio studies and professional experience

  23. Q: What's your typical work process?

  24. A: I would say it is more of a philosophy than a typical process, since every project is unique at its own right. I never go for a standard mix buss processing or vocal chain. I always start from the rough mix and the discussion with the artist

  25. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  26. A: To me, mixing is the never ending journey of music through sound.I have always been fascinated by the experience of listening to music as a window to human experience. Therefore, I am always inspired by artists who strive for a uniqueness in their voice, who are brave enough to explore new sonic territories

  27. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  28. A: I am usually asked to mix
