  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: My first proper gig as a producer was producing, co-writing an album with Canadian artist Hawksley Workman. It was a spontaneous, creative and fun 4 weeks.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I'm working on couple of commercials and produce a new project.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Myah Marie

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Digital. I can add hiss and noise at any time...

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: I will try my best to meet your expectations

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: Being creative and having fun in the process.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: My usual answer is "The more effort you put in, the better the end result will be". Works for most questions.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: I can "fix it" later.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: What is you wanna do? How do you envision you sounding?

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Does my style fit your sound and vision? If so, why not give a shot!

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: A computer with Pro Tools, a midi keyboard, a mic, headphones and an unlimited data plan.

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I started producing 2009 but have been in the business a long time prior to that as a freelance musician, songwriter and artist.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: I like doing a lot with less.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: Brian Wilson, because he's a master.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Don't be scared to start over.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: I typically work on pop/electronic music.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: Writing/production

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I play multiple instruments and I'm well versed in programming so I'm able to build tracks around melodies and ideas.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: I tend to start from a specific idea, usually recorded as voice memo. I then build a track around that idea and then try to find a good key for the artist it's intended for. Once a song is starting to form, I adjust the track around it and do a little pre-mixing. If time permits I like to let it sit for a few days and then come back and fix what needs fixing.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: I work in Pro Tools. Audio runs through my Apollo Twin. I use variety of plugins and soft synths and samplers.

  41. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  42. A: I usually co write with the artist. Sometimes they come in with an idea, other times we start with a pre-made track/hook idea I've made for that artist prior to the session. When it comes to scoring for tv/commercials, they usually have a specific feel or sound in mind and it's my job to interpret that and turn it into music.

  43. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  44. A: Brian Wilson, Max Martin, Pharrell, Dr Dre.
