Mixing Engineer and Producer

I am a mixing engineer, music producer, and studio owner based in Toronto. I produce music under the moniker skın ʌnımʌl.

My name is Noam Fleischmann and I’m an audio engineer, music producer, and studio owner in Toronto. Since the fall of 2018, I’ve operated EPILOGUE STUDIO in Toronto’s west end. Working mostly with Indie bands and producing my own experimental music, I’ve honed my production skills and have become proficient in an array of recording and mixing techniques. My sound is ephemeral and unstable. Expansive soundscapes are created through the interaction of human improvisation with samplers, synths, and effects; then, through granular processes, are broken down into their molecular sonic content. I then focus on the transient, fleeting moments that can be drawn from these experiments. This process creates an intersection between my ability to conduct the production process in a specific direction and the instincts I follow in response to the sounds being created.
I feel my role as a producer is to allow myself and the artist the space and time to experiment with non-linear processes. I view myself as a director and facilitator for the artist. I work well with those who are talented songwriters but need assistance realizing their sonic aesthetic. My skills and understanding of music production supplement that of the artist and through thoughtful collaboration are we able to translate the artist’s vision into a refined piece of music.
