Heisann,
K-LAD here.

My lad style is in 5 Languages: 🇳🇴 🇬🇧 🇫🇷 🇬🇷 🇸🇪
The word "Jouet" stands for "Journalistic Poet". I'm the father of it.

I blend Journalism & Poetry to create storylines,
which deliver strong messages in extraordinary melodic lines.

I am excelling in Writing, Editing and Voice-Overing.
My favorite habit is playing with languages.
My best quality is... my Quality.

I am a huge Swedish Schlager fan
and committed to the Eurovision Song Contest.

Also, j’ adore les Musicales:
La La Land, The Greatest Showman, Chicago, etc.

My biggest dream?
An Oscar nomination for an Original song in a movie.

Working with Kristian was a nice experience. Besides writing outstanding lyrics, Kristian also had a great vision for the song and came up with ideas that really made the song better.
I hope to work with him again in the near future. If you are looking for a great songwriter...don't look any further and hire Kristian! Highly recommended!

Krístian is a great client. We've worked together 3 times now and I can say that he is a rare kind who cares more about the people doing the work, than even the work itself.
He knows what he wants but is also open to your ideas.
    Thanks Krístian

approach to caring about the person more than the task

Interview with K-LAD (Kristian Ladonickolas)

  1. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  2. A: I provide such information, only in private settings. So, just ask me personally.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: Building my personal brand as well as my company: www.cqued.life

  5. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  6. A: It depends on the customer. There are no "common questions", because there are no "common people" (as Pulp once said).

  7. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  8. A: That I'm just like anybody else. I.M. not.

  9. Q: How would you describe your style?

  10. A: Jouetry

  11. Q: What's your typical work process?

  12. A: Working in rewind. First, I decide on the outcome and then, I build backwards.

  13. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  14. A: It depends on the client. There are no "sample questions", because there are no "sample clients".

  15. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  16. A: Manic Street Preachers, Benj Pasek, Justin Paul, Darude, Tavi Castro, Loic Nottet, Stereophonics, Mary Susan Applegate, Coldplay, Robert Miles, Sarah Dawn Finer, Alanis Morissette, Thomas G:son, Pulp, David Lindgren, Brad Paisley, Michael Buble, Bryan Adams, Cascada, Shania Twain

  17. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  18. A: I started writing songs in 2008, due to my best friend's murder. Since then, songwriting was my getaway. Throughout my professional career in Communications & Media, it helped me to speak about things that I was not allowed. In 2018, a traffic accident I experienced, gave me that extra kick I needed, to become a full-time songwriter.

  19. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  20. A: I am proud of my research on; why Eurovision created a more inclusive Europe. I conducted this research in the midst of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 in Vienna (Austria) and it was drafted for a European Press Prize the same year.

  21. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  22. A: Manic Street Preachers, because Lyrics // Benj Pasek & Justin Paul, because Musicals // Darude, because 90's // David Lindgren, because Swedish Schlager // Helena Paparizou, because Eurovision

  23. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  24. A: My Quality.

  25. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  26. A: Basically, a Farm Studio.

  27. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  28. A: Analog. You can be more creative and independant, while you save yourself from digital frustrations.

  29. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  30. A: To always know what he/she wants, as well as the reason why he/she wants that.

  31. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  32. A: Find your "what", before you start.

  33. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  34. A: You will never think the same again.

  35. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  36. A: Playing with words & fusing languages.

  37. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  38. A: Editing. Everyone wants to be different - Few really are.

  39. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  40. A: Across the range of dance, pop 'n' rock...

  41. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  42. A: A meaningful story, a reason to sing, the 'afterwards' you need.

  43. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  44. A: My Journal, my Pen & my Spotify. That's enough.
