Electric Bass + Ambience

Lives Enjoyable on SoundBetter

I'm here to fill in that low end and add deep space to your track.

I first picked up a bass nearly 12 years ago, when I was eleven-years-old. Through six years of private lessons with internationally recognized bass player, Russ Hodgess, I developed a keen understanding of bass theory and technique that allows me to write any line, for any genre, with originality guaranteed. I love writing bass lines that accentuate melody simply and tastefully, but that still have a lot of melodic movement and finesse. My greatest attribute when it comes to bass playing is LISTENING. A great part can only come from understanding other parts of a song fully, so they can be supported fully.

I graduated from the University of Utah in 2018 with a minor in music technology. Through this program, I studied experimental music, sound design, mixing techniques, synthesis, and sound engineering. Subsequently, a love for electronica and ambient music grew in my heart. The program allowed me to incorporate many methods of experimental music into my own production techniques. I rely on methods of concrete, or music created from manipulating recorded sounds, and synthesis to create deep layers upon layers of atmospheric and entrancing sound. Using mixing methods learned in class and the revolutionary open-source software, Envelop for Live, created by Christopher Willits, I can create landscapes of sound that surround and engulf the listener.
