I'm a Grammy® nominated cellist highly experienced in studio sessions and live performances.

I have recorded and toured with Michael Bublé, Halsey, Zhu, Esperanza Spalding, Skywalker Sounds, Sigur Ros, John Adams, Laura Sullivan, Nikhil Seetharam, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Simple Plan, Philippe Brach , Il Divo, Rufus Wainwright, Homayoun Sakhi, Patrick Watson, Coeur de pirate, Isabelle Boulay..

I have recorded on numerous soundtracks for TV and movies, including being first chair in Netflix’s movie Brad’s Status starring Ben Stiller.

I am equipped with a professional recording setup, which will allow me to give you high quality recordings. My classical training in cello, musicianship and composition, will ensure you professionalism with high quality arrangements and cello playing, I won't deliver a job that I am not happy with. I adapt to any kind of music, looking forward to working on yours!

More about me:
I come from France and have been classically trained with the French school of cello. I own a Master's Degree and Artist Diploma in Cello Performance, from McGill University and SFCM. I am currently a section cellist for the Berkeley Symphony Orchestra.

  1. Q: What's your typical work process?

  2. A: I record tracks then select the best ones. I work close to my computer so that I can save some time and add comments for later

  3. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  4. A: I really enjoy session work, I like the concreteness of it, and the idea of recording the absolute best version of a song I can make.

  5. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  6. A: If they have a clear idea of what they want, to be specific and give me as many info as they can. If they don't, I'll work my magic :)

  7. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  8. A: First look at the bio a little to make sure you are hiring a professional, then listen to the reel and see if that speaks to you

  9. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  11. Q: How would you describe your style?

  12. A: Pretty versatile, I have a classical background so I'm a solid cellist, that allows me to play and adapt to a lot of different styles now.

  14. A: Write everything down

  16. A: I work from home, very quiet first floor space with good acoustic. I play on a Ravatin 1996 that won a Gold Medal, great cello lent to me. My bow is a Bergeron, bow maker in Lyon, France. I have a TLM 103 and Rode NT5 pair for microphones, and Scarlett 2i2 3rd Gen for interface.

  18. A: We recently recorded Shaker Loops septet, written by five-time Grammy®-Winning composer John Adams and conducted by himself. I was one of the two cellos of the recording.

  22. A: Usually about rates. My answer is every work is different and requires different skills, so I am fair and adapt to each customer.

  26. A: The amount of time I've been asked what my real job is.

  30. A: I'm professional and love my job, I will never give a job that I'm not happy with.

  32. A: I have been classically trained, started at 6 and I'm now 28. I own a Master Degree and Artist Diploma in Cello performance and Chamber music. I like performing and I have always been interested in recording and production work.

  33. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  34. A: Erykah Badu, I love her music, always renewing herself, she inspires me.

  35. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  36. A: Usually adding a cello line into a song. Cello sound is so warm that it gives a song a completely different dimension right away. String arrangements

  38. A: Pop, classical, hip-pop, soul, jazz, middle east, pop-rock

  40. A: My personal interpretation, life, warmth and colors.
