Aidan Fleet (Hazerbeam)

Pop Music Producer and Writer

Aidan Fleet (Hazerbeam) on SoundBetter

Up-and-coming producer and songwriter with a retro informed aesthetic. Specialize in creating dense, hooky, productions with rhythmic drive. Doing jobs for very cheap right now, so why not take a chance?

I can make instrumental productions starting from any stage in the writing process, from just an idea, to a full song you've already written. I can write chord progressions and arrange in various electronic and pop styles. If you like my sound and have an idea for what you would want me to do, contact me and I will let you know if I can do it. I would like to think I specialize in densely produced, intricate pop or dance music with some edge to it.

Not accepting offers to write songs for Weddings / Birthday Parties etc.

Interview with Aidan Fleet (Hazerbeam)

  1. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  2. A: My career goal is to be able to do pop/electronic music production/songwriting full time. I have been working on my craft for about 5 years now.

  3. Q: How would you describe your style?

  4. A: I would describe my style as pop music that attempts to maximize the listener's interest through rhythmic, melodic, harmonic and production choices that subtly challenge the listener's expectations.

  5. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  6. A: Among artists working contemporarily, I would like to work with someone like A. G. Cook or DV-i because I can relate to the sorts of compositional choices they make in their music and think they are making interesting work these days.

  7. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  8. A: I tend to work on pop music and electronic music of various shades.

  9. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  10. A: Creative approaches to harmony, melody and arranging.

  11. Q: What's your typical work process?

  12. A: When making music for myself, I usually start with some component, be it a melody, chord progression, drum pattern, etc. Then arrange a section with that idea as its basis and go from there.

  13. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  14. A: Just Logic Pro X on my laptop with some supplementary hardware. I listen through monitors and headphones.

  15. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  16. A: I am inspired by the production work of a number of other pop producers/songwriters who have pushed boundaries in their respective styles and eras, including Brian Wilson, Jam & Lewis and A. G. Cook
