  11. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  12. A: I wish I work with QuestLove and Pino Paladino sometime! The are the best groove duo for me.

  13. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  17. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  18. A: I thing I'm very good with my right hand and I have a great groove. Also, I'm good to get a beautiful sound from different times of guitars, from acoustic to electric. I worked a lot with African musicians so I learn from them a beautiful way to play and think. Groove is everything. But I like to create solos and improvise too.

  19. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  20. A: What the song needs. I'm always working for the music. Sometimes, one single note is what the song needs

  21. Q: What's your typical work process?

  22. A: The first thing is listen carefully what the client wants and expect from you. Then I understand what the music needs and start to record. Usually I'm fast and I like to record a lot of options.

  23. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  24. A: I have an UAD Apollo Twin and two Fenders Amplifiers and lot of vintage guitars and pedals. Good microphones as well.

  25. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  26. A: I like the sound of John Mayer's guitar, but I love the old blues from Freddie King. I love the clean sound from João Gilberto on nylon guitar and the grooves that you can do with that instrument.

  27. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  28. A: Recording guitars for very different projects. I'm very experienced in funk and soul music, pop music, rock, African music and of course Brazilian music. If you are looking for a versatile guitarist, able to record from nylon acoustic guitar with Bossa Nova feeling to Rock, passing thru African music, that's me.
