Interview with Artiomas Penkevičius

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: As long as i remember myself i always was into music. Starting from the early days when i was 15, music production was just fun thing to do, and nowhere nearly i thought that someday i’ll be living of this. I started of by working with local artists. They gave me an opportunity to work with their music for free. On that moment i didn’t think about the money, i just wanted to make music, get better and more experienced. My breakthrough years were at the time when i was student at Music academy. I made couple of albums for bigger names in the country and got more noticed by other artists. As for that i got more and more invites to work as a professional music producer and mix engineer.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: If you feel that your song doesn’t sound right on a production stage, mixing and mastering probably wouldn’t save it. The song itself should give “chills” before mix and master.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Modern pop music, EDM, Trap, Rnb
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Versatility. I have a lot of experience working with a different music styles and genres, so i feel pretty comfortable adapting to the sound client is looking for.
