Earl Baumgardner on SoundBetter

I record, mix and edit Rock music. As a former touring guitar player I’ve built a world class studio specifically for recording and mixing Rock music.

I am the owner of Warehouse 231. The studio has a 24x28 world class tracking room designed by Wes Lachot. The control room is large with a API 1608 desk with expander. The studio has ATC speakers and Apollo interfaces.

The studio also has Yamaha custom recording drum kit, Marshall and Mesa Boogie guitar amp along with Fractal Axes. Other gear in the studio includes UA 1176, UA La2a, Neuman Mics, Chandler Redd microphone, SM7 and a variety of other mics and gear.

Each project is different and therefore base my rates on the project and to meet your budget.

I will work with you on revisions to your mix so that you are satisfied with the project..

I typically deliver 48 / 24 bit WAV files unless otherwise specified, and will send you a master loud version along with a mix version and proper headroom for mastering. I work with one of the top mastering firms in the country but you are certainly welcome to use any mastering firm you like.

Before completing my studio I attended sessions at Sunset Sound, Blackbird, and Studio La Fabrique. I toured extensivley in the 90s playing guitar in a touring band. I still play guitar , write songs and play some gigs but working with new clients in the studio or remotely is always exciting and gratifying.

I will always be honest with you as I want your project to be the best it can be!

Our band OTI has nothing but excellent interactions with Earl and Warehouse 231. The studio is very comfortable and loaded with top tier gear. Earl is a talented engineer, but also very helpful with arrangement suggestions and getting the best takes
from our band. Being a musician himself I think gives him insight into what players face when they are in a position that can be intimidating or frustrating. Fantastic mix engineer and even set us up with a pro mastering house.

I’ve worked with a lot of producers and engineers and none have been as easy to work with as Earl. He’s patient, professional and his creative input to each of my tracks has been unmatched. In addition to being a wonderful producer and engineer he is a fantastic musician as well. I plan on working with Earl as much as possible in the future.
