Savva Agafonov on SoundBetter

The man who is in love with music. I am a person who's not afraid to 'go the extra mile'. I do mainly music production, mixing and mastering. I work with different genres, mostly Rock, Metal and Electronic music. Modern, mindful, polished sound.

Hello there,

I'm Savva Agafonov, a producer, mix and master engineer from Tbilisi, Georgia.

I've been working professionally for 2 years now.

Every artist is unique and I am mostly inspired by Skrillex, Noisia, Boards of Canada, Covet, Uchu Conbini, Elephant Gym, mouse on the keys, Lite, The Mars Volta, toe, Chon, Polyphia, Periphery, Tame Impala, Cafune, Supercar, Telefon Tel Aviv, Run the Jewels, Aphex Twin.

In my opinion, music production is about searching and finding the right sound for a particular artist.
On the mixing and mastering side, I try to extend the original idea, but not to change it drastically.

I'm open to any kind of cooperation and projects.

Would love to hear from you. Click the contact button above to get in touch.

Savva is very professional and does his job very well, there were no misunderstandings whatsoever during the process, and that was very important as we worked remotely in a very strict timing. Would work again, highly recommend him!

Interview with Savva Agafonov

  1. Q: What's your typical work process?

  2. A: Everything starts with the conversation between the artist/band and me. We discuss possible approaches to the song and the goals we want to achieve at the end of the process. After that, when I have the information and reference tracks, I can start building the arrangement/mix from scratch or working on the given demo in order to expand the original idea and vibe. There are a lot of steps we should do to reach the finish line, but I truly believe anything is possible.

  3. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  4. A: Digital, because it's less time-consuming and more efficient in some cases.
