Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: /
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: both both are very good at their own thing.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: That I will deliver a fully professional sounding song or album, and that I will do everything at my disposal both professional and emotional to deliver and fulfill their expectations.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Being in the studio, composing and creating sounds altogether.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Mainly if I can fix things in post and editing. the answer is usually yes.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That I can make something sound perfect when the recording (what was captured) isn't good.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What type of music do they listen to What sound are they trying to achieve What message are they trying to convey and how What football team the root for What do they expect from a production of mine
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

A: James Blake is pick #1 because I believe I would learn so much from both his producing and composition/writing skills
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't get stuck in the plugins or even the sounds, try to flow more with the creative part of any process. correction comes later.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Indie Rock and Hip Hop
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Instrumental composition
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I only can say that I bring my creativity and musical communication skills which has helped me produce songs and start musical relationships with a lot of amazing musicians. I will listen as I will propose new and refreshing ideas stemming from my own musical universe, I will do my best at bridging the gap/creating a bridge between parallel visions and creating a new piece of music altogether.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I normally start the writing process with the artist so I can get a grip on what the production might sound later and also to be 'marinated' from the beginning in the process. Then when the time arrives and the song is written I start te production part hand in hand with the band or the artist. At this point I tend to brainstorm it all to nail down sonic identity of the song to portray the artist's vision while offering my own creative input. Then when the production is closed I start mixing and then after revisions I master the song if desired.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work at PaloSanto Studios in Bogota, there's two main rooms, the big production one where there is a SCM45A Pro speaker pair, synths, guitars and a live room with a full drum kit and a piano. Also equipped with a plethora of mics for any given situation. The second room there's a focal speaker based dolby atmospheres setup, in which there's a stereo pair dedicated for music production and mixing as well.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Radiohead, Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Bonobo, Juana Aguirre, Geese, Foals, Koki Nakano, Flying Lotus, Kenny Beats, Nigel Godrich, Wayne Snow, Fontaines D.C, David Bowie, Kevin Parker, The Vernon Spring, James Blake, Daft Punk, Bon Iver, Massive Attack, Oscar Jerome, Warhaus, Lola Young, Parcels, JMSN, Jim James, Finneas, Aphex Twin, Yebba, Silvana Estrada, Gustavo Cerati, Nicholas Britell, Kings Of Convenience, Floating Points.
