Topline Writer/Vocal Producer

I moved to NYC seven years ago to pursue a career in music. As foreshadowed by my past "successes" including being rejected from American Idol four years in a row, butchering the National Anthem so terribly people nicknamed me ‘Roseanne Barr’, and accidentally entering a Little Miss Kentucky Fair Queen singing competition held in a barn in the middle of a tornado (no I didn’t win; yes I'm still pissed), this wise decision promptly led to complete failure and poverty.

Fortunately, this perfectly set me up for a career as a comedy writer (and author of 'Future Has-Been' which sums up my path so far), as well as a writer/producer of music for singers with actual talent.

I've spent the past five years doing topline and vocal production work for indie pop, rock, R&B, and EDM artists. Previously I worked on the business side of music, doing music supervision and production for several ad agencies among other work within the industry, giving me a unique insight into what sorts of music is best for sync opportunities.

I'm looking forward to working with you on your project whether that be doing vocal production work, writing your hooks or full songs, or even providing you with full guide vocal demos, produced from my home studio using my Manley Ref/IsoVox/Apollo Twin setup.

  4. A: For topline writing I work with the client to get an idea of the overall theme they're going for, as well as listen to any reference material they provide. From there I spend a few days writing and refining before providing a rough guide vocal for feedback or revision requests. I can provide one major revision before finalizing the guide vocal.
