Session Drummer

Hi, my name is Rhett Harken and I am a session drummer based in Knoxville, Tennessee. I have played drums for over a decade and have a home studio dedicated to recording drums. My gear consists of Tama drums and Meinl / Zildjian cymbals. My goal is to bring life to your music, and create the most desirable sound your music deserves.

My musical abilities span over most genres of music, from Country to Metal and anything in between. However, much of my study has been in Jazz. Finding the right touch and feel in music has played a major role in how I approach performing behind the kit. It's important that I internalize the music and find what those qualities look like in each song.

I would love to hear what your ideas are for your music, and what I can do to make the music even better. In my experience, the sonic and dynamic qualities of drums require great detail in order to effectively communicate what the Artist is trying to convey. It is my mission to make sure the mood and sound of your music is conveyed exactly the way you want it.

When I finish recording for your project, you will receive the separate drum channels (stems) or a stereo .wav file for your song(s). Currently I am trying to build up my portfolio for all session work and I want to say in advance that your business is always appreciated.
