I bring to your recording and production needs a wealth of knowledge quite literally from around the world. Growing up a traveling competition piano player and gospel bass player in church gave me the sight-reading/theory edge and the ear training needed to be a professional at an early age. I furthered honed my skills at the New England Conservatory (being one of few ever admitted for the electric bass). Before graduating with a degree in jazz studies for both Electric and Upright I began touring with grammy winning and acclaimed vocal group Sweet Honey In The Rock.
I've toured extensively throughout centra/South America further honing my latin bass playing after leaving the guided wing of mentor/latin bass legend Oscar Stagnaro. I have also taught Music around the world as it was an honor to be asked to become part of the faculty at the Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music (SAM) in Chennai, India. Living, teaching and touring throughout India gave me a chance to further study and dig deep into southern classical Indian music(previously studied under Jamey Hadad for Indian and eastern rhythm training).
I have toured/recorded/performed the globe with such artists as O.C., Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Maurice Brown, Cormega, Smiff and Wessun, Jazzmeia Horn, Rah Digga, Takuya Kuroda, Love Experiment, Ana Tijoux, L'Rain, Scruffy Pearls etc...Reach out!! Anything you need, we can do it.
