Interview with Jonathan Shaver

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: Currently, I am working on mixing and mastering a rock track for a class that I am in.

  3. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  4. A: I personally do not know anyone else on SoundBetter.

  5. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  6. A: My promise is that I will not stop until you are happy with the product you receive. No matter how many revisions it takes, I will always do my best to make the client happy.

  7. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  8. A: I like being able to help my clients reach any goals they have with their music. It makes me happy to see the smile on someones face whenever they get the sound that they are looking for out of a mix.

  9. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  10. A: I have been doing this for about 2 or 3 years.

  11. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  12. A: Always make sure you are saving your work as you go. There have been times before where my computer was overloaded by the DAW and it crashes on you and you end up losing everything because you didn't save it. This is a rookie mistake that I like to avoid by pressing the save button at least every two minutes.

  13. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  14. A: The type of music that I work on varies. I prefer rock or hip-hop but I have also worked on country, soft rock, reggae, and pop.

  15. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  16. A: The most common type of work that I do is mixing and mastering.

Terms Of Service

I will allow as many revisions as it takes until you, the artist, are happy with the product you receive. My typical turn-around time depends on the amount of tracks and length of the song.
