Andreas on SoundBetter

I'm the guy who loves rhythm and a solid low end. I work with various geners but have a love for Pop/Urban/Latin/HipHop. I play drums myself meaning the rhythm is essential in my productions.

WHO AM I?
Pop, Urban, Latin and Hip Hop producer from Stockholm, Sweden. I work with independent clients from all around the world.

WHAT I DO & HOW I WORK
I love making beats and productions from whatever you might have. An idea from piano, guitar, a voice memo or just a half made beat.

- I'll create a first draft based on whatever idea you might have. We discuss in what direction you want to go and move on from there.
- Do you need to finish a beat or just make it pop?
- Mixing (Jacyen Joshua style, drums, low end and vocal focus)

I can turn your demo to whatever vibe you might have. My philosophy is every song is unique and have to be treated that way!
I offer unlimited revisions (within reason!) to ensure we both are happy with the end result.

Would love to hear from you. Click the contact button above to get in touch.

Andreas produced a fantastic beat that has a ton of mainstream potential. He was great to work with on this project. He was clear in direction, but also left room for me as the songwriter & vocalist to experiment with the track. Extremely professional and quick to respond. I highly recommend him for your project. Hire this man!

Andreas was absolutely fantastic to work with. He’s very clear with his communication and especially understand, my state had a giant fire that took away my power and he continued to check in to see if I was doing okay and concerned for my well being.
I loved his track and his direction for the song. Super easy to work with and a great ear for music!

Really great working with Andreas. During the 2020 chaos it was difficult at times to keep communication and staying in touch but he was super patient and understanding and very compassionate about the situations happening in my city. Great tracks, great production and concepts!

Interview with Andreas

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: Some projects for the Eurovision Song Contest next year.

  3. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  4. A: Myah. She's probably the best topliner/lyricist I've ever worked with.

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: Digital. If you want to make a modern record you have to work with modern tools.

  7. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  8. A: Have your tracks named and lyrics organised for a mixing session. In a production and songwriting session, be opened minded, have fun and don't rush.

  9. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  10. A: My computer, UA interface, Neumann TLM 103, a midi keyboard and my coffee machine!

  11. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  12. A: I started doing music along time ago. Have been playing vilolin, classic guitar and drums since high school. Had a band for 10 years but started to be more serious about it around three years ago. I have a bachelor in IT and work as a Senior Solution Architect during the weeks but making music have been my second full time gig since about three years now.

  13. Q: How would you describe your style?

  14. A: Low end focused with great rhythms.

  15. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  16. A: Ariana Grande and Max Martin/Ilya!

  17. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  18. A: 10,000 hours. But if I have to share one tip it have always been - have fun!

  19. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  20. A: Pop, latin, urban beats.

  21. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  22. A: Topline and rhythms.

  23. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  24. A: I listen to a lot of music in various genres and have a good feeling of what's out there. All the way from billboard top 50 to urban jazz. My main focus have always been having a strong melody and a solid low end in a song/production/mix. I also have a big network with friends who went all the way to college within music theory and to have been playing with the top artists here in Sweden. More eyes and ears than one person can bring is sometimes better...

  25. Q: What's your typical work process?

  26. A: In a writing session, I always listen to the client and what kind of vibe they are going after. I'm open to co-labs and always asks the client if they have any reference I can listen to. From a production perspective I think songwriting and production goes hand in hand. The vibe is important and from here the goal is always to make it as good as it can be. Mixing - I start asking the client if they have some reference material. After that, it's up to me and polishing and fine tune to make it radio ready.

  27. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  28. A: Macbook Pro 2019, i9, 32GB and various SSD. I work in Logic with UA interface Microphones is Neumann TLM 103 and Warm Audio 47.

  29. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  30. A: From a mixing perspective and people I look up to is first and foremost Jaycen Joshua along with Jordan Young (DJ Swivel). Production have always been Max Martin along with Ilya Salmanzadeh.

  31. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  32. A: I'm a songwriter, producer and mix engineer. I write and produce various types of projects. From Latin to Pop/Rock.
