Fluent in many different styles, recently recorded Jazz flute tracks on "Parcels" debut EP on song including "Lighten Up"
I am an accomplished and polished professional flute player, equally comfortable reading difficult parts and improvising for tracks. I am able to record parts that you have written for your tracks including overdubbing, or write arranging and/or improvise over the tracks myself. You may have heard me most recently in the Parcels Track LightenUp https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQz5l55qtsY (The flute solo is towards the end of the track)

Interview with Rowan Hamwood
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: High level flute skills and and imaginative soloing and line writing
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Usually I will get the track and analyse what I think needs to be added, then do a first take which I will bounce and send to the artist, to check that it's going in the right direction. If things need tweaking/changing I will then go back and retake.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I'm working fairly simply through a Macbook Pro and a focusrite 2i4. My main microphone is a neumann km 184, which creates a beautiful and rich sound for the flute.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Dave Valentin is a flute idol of mine, as well as more traditional classical player such as Emmanuel Pahud etc.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Clients come to me with a track that needs flute, whether that's a killer solo, or some backing lines or something more classically written depends on what the client needs
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: jazz, funk, edm and classical
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Improvisation, and communication with clients
