Interview with Devyn Faucher
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work with pop/singer-songwriter type artists. I really enjoy working with hip hop artists as well, due to my heavy blues guitar background.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is my ability to gauge the song, find the pocket, apply the perfect tone, and to never overplay.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring texture, personality, and feel to a song.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I play the track, over and over, so I can get a good feel for what would enhance the song. Then I write the part out with general flow at the front of my mind.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I most commonly write and record electric guitar parts.
