Sound and Music for Picture

Aural Hygiene on SoundBetter

Doug Gallob, head audio engineer at Aural Hygiene, has been making music and audio sound good for over 35 years (sounding somewhat better in more recent years than the earliest years!), and still learns something new with every gig.

Aural Hygiene is focused primarily on sound-for-picture:

Production Audio,
Post Production Audio, and
Film Scoring.

But we spend a fair amount of energy in other fields of audio as well. For example, music recording, songwriting, composing, live mixing.

Interview with Aural Hygiene

  1. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  2. A: Every gig is different. I learn something new every day.

  3. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  4. A: Sound-for-picture. On roughly a third of my recent projects I've done production sound, on another third, post production sound and on the final third, I've done both. Interspersed has been a smattering of film scoring, music recording, music performance, and acting.
