Record Procuder | Engineer

David Masters on SoundBetter

Hey everyone! I'm an old-school philosophy record producer, audio engineer and mix engineer working in a digital world. I'm the guy who will tell you to "do it again.", to "give me another one." I'm the guy who will go the out-of-the-box route to get a really great sound. I'm the guy who has the best interest of your song/project in mind.

Background:

15 years ago, I made a decision that I wanted to be a Record Producer: the guy on the other side of the glass with the objective perspective to try and get greatness out of a band or artist, and get the best of their creativity to tape. I buried myself in studying my influences (Bob Rock, Butch Big, Mutt Lange, Rick Rubin, Steve Albini, Dr. Dre), listening to their records, watching documentaries, and piecing together in my brain how they worked. Their methods. Their philosophies. And I developed my style of production. My "ear", as I call it.

I got to work in recording studios, worked my way up from intern, to assistant engineer, to head engineer, and producer. I got a hands-on education working with not only the gear, but with the musicians and artists who came through the doors wanting to record. So, when I hit 40 in 2018, I made a promise to myself to pursue my passion, and succeed at being a producer and engineer. I want to work with hard-working, passionate artists and musicians, collaborating with them, and giving them the best I have to offer to bring life to their songs.

I specialize in Folk, Alt-Country, Singer-Songwriter, Christian, Rock, Punk and Country. I also cut and edit audio for podcasts, and mix tracks for all genres.

Drop me a line by hitting the "Contact" button, and I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Tell me about your project and how I can help, through the 'Contact' button above.
