Kameron Grae on SoundBetter

My name is Kameron and I've been writing for about 13 years (professionally), Producing for 15 years (Pro Tools & Logic), and Mixing since I started producing. I honed my engineering craft by attending Los Angeles Recording School '07, working at numerous studios, and being mentored by some of the best (Dave Pensado, Manny Marroquin, etc.).

I offer full production, songwriting, mixing, and mastering services which include:

Music Composition/Production
-Creating music to write to, finding musicians if needed, providing a studio to book

Mixing Services
-When your song has been recorded, the next step is to create an audible balance for the song

Mastering Service
-Once you have a mix that you love, the next step is to make sure the perfect loudness and cleanliness is achieved so that people put your music on replay rather than just a few listens.

Vocal Editing Services
-Pitch Correction (We all can't be 100% in every session we attend; and for the times we fall short, there's Melodyne!)
-I've been using Melodyne for over 6 years and I use it religiously when tuning vocals or some out-of-tune instruments.
-Vocal Comping (I go through all of the vocal recordings and pick the best elements from each to make the perfect take.)

Tell me about your project and how I can help, through the 'Contact' button above.

  34. A: It all starts with a conversation once we meet. We figure out what mood we're in or what we have on or minds to fuel our song. Next, whether we write to four chords or to a produced 2-track, we find the melody before the lyrics are written, typically. From there we add the lyrics and mold the song into a full healthy body of work.

  35. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  36. A: I have a place in North Hollywood that has a great booth and control room. the rooms vibe is very comfortable with plenty of space to move and feel inspired. Whether you like to play with percussion or start with piano, you'll find everything you need to make great music and stay inspired.

  37. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  38. A: Alternative pop and rock inspires me the most these days.

  39. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  40. A: The most common work I do would be a mixture of songwriting, singing demos, and mixing projects.
