Mixing Engineer graduated from Berklee College of Music, specializing in rock, pop, folk and acoustic. Also available for session drums, with over 20 years of experience.
I'd love to mix your song.
Tangerine Tree Studio is a room I designed and built myself — studying acoustics and construction, then bringing in a drywall specialist and an acoustic engineer to get the calibration right. That hands-on understanding of the space shapes every mix.
Since 2022 I've mixed and mastered a growing catalogue of rock, pop, folk and acoustic releases, including a collaboration with veteran Portuguese artist José Cid. Earlier in my career I was co-producer and mixing engineer on The Fuzz Drivers' acclaimed debut album (2013), and mixed albums for Pedro Syrah (with Thomas Pridgen on drums) and Carl Mendes.
I also record session drums — credits include Miguel Gameiro, Bela Gisela, The Fuzz Drivers, Carl Mendes, Bukaginho, Cidade CAOS, Ladrão do Sado, Pedro Syrah, among others, over more than 20 years.
Send your stems and get a first mix back in 1-3 days, with unlimited free revisions until it's right — remote or in person, same process either way.

Endorse Duarte Carvalho9 Reviews
Duarte is an excellent drummer, with an antique rock vibe. As a mixing engineer, in addition to his technical know-how, I have to emphasize the hands-on approach he puts into his work and the fine use of his best hardware tool: his ears.
Hire him now.
I've worked with Duarte on & off for the past fifteen years. He's one of those 'jump right into it' technicians with genuine passion for music. No mater what's the genre he'll get on it, always up for a chalange. He gets where you're going and he takes you there!
I've worked with Duarte for the past 10 years, as a drummer and as a recording and mixing engineer, and I couldn't recommend someone better! His attention to detail and knowledge are what every project needs!

Excellent pro, huge knowledge about mixing and as a drummer is a beast.
Duarte is a "serve the song" musician/mix engineer with international drumming credits, and great communication skills. He is a team player with a positive attitude that keeps the greater good of the whole picture in mind.
I am a singer/songwriter and I have used the mixing services from Duarte on a couple of my songs.
Duarte is a very detailed oriented person with a great knowledge of music and mixing skills and always willing to make the extra effort to make things as professional as possible
I”vê been working with Duarte for about 2 years and a half, it has been a great pleasure to perform with such a talented guy. Not only his skills as a great drummer, but also his sense of production and the way he works in a song and takes the very best of it. His studio has became the perfect “lab” to bring light and charisma to your ideas.
