Singer/Songwriter, Folk Artist

I'm a boho-folk singer/songwriter with 20+ years of studio experience, with 5 albums released in Portuguese, one in English in the oven. I focus on folk and chilling songs, surf-style, mellow melodies – but love that Neil Young-ish fuzzy riff. Also have a PhD in Psychoanalysis. Yep, that's right. I offer lyrics, melodies, musical arrangements and even some musical production if it fits my area – and if I have enough wine to spare at the studio. My lyrics tend to be vary from simple folkish poetry to some pedant academical stuff it need to be. But I'm from the countryside, grew up breeding horses, hoarding cows and listening to crickets at night whilst strumming an old 50+ years old completely beaten up guitar. Then after my period trying to be a glamorous rockstar with all the extravaganza my life could not afford, I found on the simplicity of Brazilian moda de viola and writers such as Almir Sater, Renato Teixeira, Belchior and Pena Branca e Xavantinho the same thing I found in Simon & Garfunkel, Dylan, CSNY and other musicians that went from big to simple – not from big to small, petty and tiny (of petty, only Petty). With a one-man band style – a tambourine under my left foot, a guitar, a (badly blown) harmonica, and some words of joy – I had to offer a few moments of ease in-between the daily warfare of our routines; yes, today was rough and tomorrow your boss will be a lamebrain again; someone near to you might fade and maybe the world will weight heavier. And that's where what I have to offer YOU, fellow musician: lyrics for those 30 minutes at the end of the day to say: "yes, life aches; but for now, we'll lessen the sorrow. And here's some wine. Cheer's up!".
