Interview with Profile User 229119

  1. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  2. A: Digital, my set up is very very basic, but I can achieve a really good sound via Amp Simulator or Tube amp.

  3. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  4. A: I promise that you will be a 100% satisfied with that product that I give you. I really want to wok with you and make your song complete and I will make sure everything is done the way you want it done.

  5. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  6. A: Which artists inspire you? When you listen to a song with guitar work, what makes you really feel the song, what makes you put that song on repeat?

  7. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  8. A: I would say really ask what you want right off the bat and see if the provider can connect to your vision. If they can't understand or feel what you want, then your wasting your time and your money which will only prevent you from getting your vision out to the music market and to the world.

  9. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  10. A: I would say my number 1 Gibson Les Paul "Bella" , I would bring an acoustic because unless they have a generator I don't want to be out of luck haha

  11. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  12. A: My career path is to be a full time musician. I am in a hardworking Post Metal band "Netherhart", right now we are starting out, the band has been out already for a long time, I recently joined the project, obviously with covid we haven't been able to play shows, but we are working very hard in the writing process and getting ready to record our first album. The reason why I am doing this is because I want to be a full time Musician, I have dedicated my life to music and I don't see it any other way. I love to make music and the idea that I will be collaborating with many artists and working with them to make their song perfect, brings me joy and more inspiration and the reason why I love music.

  13. Q: How would you describe your style?

  14. A: I would describe my self as a really soulful person. The Reason why is because I really connect with the songs I work on personally. I really love the blues and listening to BB King, Rory Gallagher, and Stevie Ray Vaughan...etc seeing how they just played their heart and soul, really has taken effect on me and I like to be myself without copying another artist but also channeling that inspiration while I play.

  15. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  16. A: One of my favorite local artist is Johnny No Cash. His work with his solo project as well as "The Celtic Outlaws" is really outstanding, they bring Southern Rock, Celtic Music, Metal, Comedy, and Outlaw Country all into one and it completely sounds original and I am personally a really big fan.

  17. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  18. A: I work on all types of music. Its very general , but I am in a Outlaw Country/ Southern Rock Project as well as a Post Metal Band, as well as learning music that inspires me which again is very open. I do not like to close off any doors that could intentionally inspire me to learn new riffs, or techniques.

  19. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  20. A: I am very strong with making layered guitar work. Whether it is a guitar solo, or Rhythm section, it is my best skill to make your song sound full and simple without sounding to complicated and over done.

  21. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  22. A: I will bring a confident souful solo or guitar work to your song. It is my passion and my desire to make sure you are happy as an artist with your creation and making your audience really pleased with how well your track will sound.

  23. Q: What's your typical work process?

  24. A: Once I get the project, I get right down to it. During the week I have a main ocupation thats 10 hour days from Monday to Thursday, but before then and between Friday - Sunday I am fully able to work on your project. Again once received the song contract, depending on the song or job that needs to be done, I will propose the timeline when it will be done and the price.

  25. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  26. A: I have a really basic set up, I use an audio interface ( M- Audio), into my laptop and I have a compressor mic I use to record via my Tube Amp, I also have a Amp Simulator which gives me lots more sound options and gives it more of a particular sound. Amplitube is the name of the Simulator I use.

  27. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  28. A: I have two main musicians to credit for my inspirations for music and the reason I picked up the guitar at such an early age. Elvis Presley was an artist my grandparents always played and I was always so drawn to his performance's, not only did I fall in love with the soulful gospel music he sang, but also the rock n roll fueled by Scotty Moore, and James Burton. The second inspiration was given to me by my grandmother once again, she had this 70's mixed CD that all the classic hits on it, I remember the first time I played it... When track 5 hit with that powerful A chord I was instantly addicted and that was the moment I wanted to play guitar, that song was called "All Right Now" by Free. Paul Kossoff ever since then has been a big inspiration to me and hence why I am attracted to the Les Paul so much... My first song I learned on Guitar was that song "All Right Now" and I haven't stopped playing in 16 years and don't intend to. As for the session work of inspiration I have so many guitarist that I look up to but I have to say Jimmy Page and David Gilmour play a really big part in that. As a kid growing up and when I learned about "YouTube" I remember seeing studio footage of Gilmour tracking the "Echoes" solo and later on Page mentioning his session work, and clips at Headly Grange.
