I am a sound designer and sound engineer. I have designed sounds, composed music and engineered soundtracks for all genres, from tv and web commercials to movies, video art and games. My passion is to create unique sound identities through sound design, post-production and music. During the last years, I had the chance to work with dozens of artists and companies from all over the world. Interview with Kyriakos Charalampides

Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: At the moment I am sound designing for a feature-length Audiovisual performance by Twelve-lab. It is a long but really satisfying task.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I am a fan of hybrids. I like a lot the timbral characteristics of various hardware sources but I prefer the freedom of digital control. In short, I like to control my hardware set up through my main computer.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I have a big collection of inspirations. I really enjoy the sound design of Amon Tobin, Noisia and Ben Burtt. I also like the productions of Ital Tek, Square Pusher, Clint Mansell, Run the Jewels and Autechre.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most of my work involves sound design and post production for moving image. I usually work for short-films, commercials and games.
