I'm from the Missouri Ozarks, Ted from the Mississippi delta. Yet when it came time to record my solo CD, I booked time in MS in large part so I could work with Ted Gainey. When asked to produce an EP for a friend, again I had to have Ted involved, despite the distance. Such is the respect he earns from many. And I'm happy to call him my friend.

Ted demonstrates genuine engagement in a project - really lives the job. Exercises the utmost patience with an artist working toward the premium take. Has shown an intuition for how to approach and embrace the feel a particular song calls for. Maintains a clear, for real rapport with musicians; functions integrally in the creative process.

Ted "T-Bone" Gainey has always been a delight to work with. He helped me start my 1st working band, Enigma Jazz Project, back in 1996. He would always bring his A-game to gigs and band rehearsals. Ted is also a great record producer as well, and has a good reputation among us Mississippi musicians in various genres. Ted is the real deal.

Worked with Ted for many years as a fellow musician, and have participated in several of his recording projects - many of which he solely produced. Ted is a consummate professional, full of ideas and creativity. He is great at encouraging the best performances out of his clients or sidemen, and is quick to a solution in any tangled situations.
