Interview with Fridom
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: My promise is to treat your music with the same care I give my own. You’ll get a master that’s loud, clean, and emotionally true – ready for release on all platforms. I’ll communicate clearly, deliver on time, and make sure you’re genuinely happy with the result.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is finding the sweet spot between loudness and dynamics. I know how to make a track hit hard and stand out without crushing its life.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring clarity, punch, and balance – without losing the emotion behind the song. My goal is to make the track sound finished, impactful, and ready for streaming, while preserving what makes it unique. As an artist myself, I understand how important every detail is, and I master with both technical precision and musical sensitivity.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most of the work I do is mastering for independent pop, EDM, and electronic artists who want their songs to sound powerful and professional on all streaming platforms. I focus on bringing clarity, loudness, and emotional impact to each track, while making sure it still feels true to the artist’s original vision. Many of my clients appreciate the direct communication, fast turnaround, and honest feedback I give to help their mixes shine.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I remixed "promise" by cueP, a song that I really love and can't stop listening to. It has been an honor to create my own version of it.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital. You can do way more for way less.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Creativity
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: People think I want to create party music. That's absolute not true. I want to create music to daydream by when you're in a train or so...
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Minimalistic, yet powerful in it's purpose.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Lana Del Rey, George Ezra and Zedd. All for specific reasons.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't listen to people who tell you that nobody will ever listen to your music. If you love to listen to your own music, others will too :)
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: It's a little but powerful home studio.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Kyo, Illenium, Fairlane, Petit Biscuit, San Holo.
