Nomad Recording Company on SoundBetter

A recording engineer that wants to save you money! Hi, I'm A.J. my studio is specialized to save artists money by on-site recording and remote mixing and mastering so that you don't have to pay for sky-high studio costs while being able to spend more time doing what you love, make music!

I have been an audio engineer professionally for a year now. Still, I was a recording musician for years before, so I know what it is like to be a struggling artist looking for a professional sounding mix without breaking the bank. That's where I come in. I attended one of Canada's top recording schools and graduated at the top of my class. I was offered several internships in studios after graduation but decided to turn them down and run my own business. I did this for two reasons. First, I'm a creator at heart, and I love making things and seeing what they can become, whether it be a song, a business, or a novel. Secondly, I noticed that the studios were trying to bleed artists dry while giving them the "atmosphere" of professionalism. Scamming artists by charging a premium price for an amateur product is against my morals. It is why I decided to start my own business and not to associate myself with those kinds of studios.

I'm familiar with all genres and have worked on everything from hip-hop, heavy metal, rock, reggae, blues, folk, etc. However, if your music tends to gravitate to the more aggressive side of your genre, then I'm your guy! I specialize and pride myself in being able to have an artist's anger, frustration, and pain resonate with the listeners over a set of speakers.

Would love to hear from you. Click the contact button above to get in touch.

Fantastic experience working with AJ on a song ... I sent him the stems, and he gave me a number of previews that progressively got closer to what I was looking for. He was very responsive, and accommodating to my requests. Highly recommended!

I had the immense pleasure of working with AJ on a very complex piece involving 8 different instruments and vocals. He was able to mix them all together extremely quickly, the fastest out of any sound designers I have collaborated with. He was very open to feedback and worked very hard to tailor the track to my exact specifications in record time. Can't recommend him enough to others needed professional level mixing/mastering

Worked on a very long song of mine and every little detail was taken care of. A.J. was very patient about all my little demands and they all ended up sounding great! Would totally recommend his work to anyone who wants a great sounding mix in little time, with great understanding of his craft. Really happy with how my track's final mix sounds like!

A.J did a great mix on one of my tunes and I'm very happy with how it turned out. He was also a very patient and understanding mixer. I'm a bit of a pedantic lunatic who kept asking for slight modifications and he was very understanding and delivered my requests very promptly. Would happily recommend.
