Manel Ferreira on SoundBetter

Acoustic/classical/fingerstyle guitarist. Also play the Portuguese Guitar, and compose. One of the finalists of the European Guitar Award. Performed all over Europe both solo and with some of Portugal's finest artists. I'm now focusing more on session work and would love to help you have the guitar you've always dreamed for in your songs!

Hi! Chances are if you're reading this you either need some guitars added to your track, or you need a track itself to get started. Either way, I'm here to listen to your needs and try and help in whichever way I can so you can accomplish your musical goals. :)

Ever since I first picked up a guitar at 14, I've had a constant obsession to explore the musical world it presents me and learn as much as I can.
I started by studying classical guitar for a couple of years, then moved to electric while learning jazz. After a couple more years, I started playing fingerstyle acoustic guitar. Right now I split my time between the 7 string classical guitar, where I play my compositions, classical pieces, and Brazilian and Latin American music, my Lowden acoustic guitar, and the Portuguese Guitar, where I play my country's traditional music, Fado, as well as
any genre I see it fitting in.

I've been composing music ever since I first started playing. I studied composition with one of Portugal's most renowned jazz musicians, Pedro Madaleno. Today I have over 100 compositions, and just released my first solo album, Afterglow. In the last couple of years I started writing for some well respected Portuguese musicians and singers. I compose in many different genres, including Fado, Pop, Jazz, Bossa Nova, etc.
