Interview with G9 Music

  1. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  2. A: Sound of analog is just warmer and richer, the imperfection of it makes it sound great. However it's really expensive in comparsion to digital ones, there are some emulations which come quite close to original so after all I would go for digital.

  3. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  4. A: I will do my best to deliver you the fresh cool sounding project you can imagine.

  5. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  6. A: Being able to be creative. Love switching around differents song, styles, genres. I just love music any possible way.

  7. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  8. A: Be as detailed as possible when making a request. Make sure that your producers knows your needs.

  9. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  10. A: Studio speakers, anykind of midi keyboard, computer. Essentials for me.

  11. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  12. A: I've been in music industry for 10 years now. Producing for 5. Currently graduating university as a music engineer.

  13. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  14. A: For sure Martin Garrix, they way he thinks of music, and not being closed just for one genre (great example here are his side projects like GRX, Area 21, Ytram).

  15. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  16. A: Do never put a reverb on a sub.... Nah just kidding its too basic. If you don't really have to, don't use EQ if you do try to avoid HP, LP it messes up with phase a lot. Try to go more for shelfs or bells.

  17. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  18. A: I work on whole bunch of differents ones. Depends on needs. It's all about being original and having fun. EDM/House/Pop are my strongest ones.

  19. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  20. A: I would say creative arrangments.

  21. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  22. A: I'm music industry related since 10 years now and I work in it on daily basis so I'm aware of current trends on market.

  23. Q: What's your typical work process?

  24. A: If we decide to work together I have to know all your needs as detailed as possible to be able to deliver you product you are 100% satisfied with. In case of original production I need 1-3 reference song you want me to inspire from. After that I deliver you the demo and if you accept it we move on with it.

  25. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  26. A: Those are mostly full ghost productions of original song from A to Z. However I've done lots of different stuff: mixing, mastering, finishing project of client (co-ghost) etc.
