Experienced, Billboard-charting EDM songwriter and vocal producer who has worked with artists such as Andrew Rayel, Linney Standerwick, 3LAU, and Dastic. My work is regularly supported by heavyweights like Armin van Buuren, Hardwell, Tritonal, Blasterjaxx, Dash Berlin, Ruben de Ronde, Ferry Corsten and more, and played on SiriusXM radio.
Having spent the vast majority of my life in the music business, I have a keen understanding of what makes people want to listen to your music over and over again, and I'm excited to put that knowledge to work for you!
My songs have charted top 10 on the Billboard Dance Chart, and while I specialize in dance music, I also have some experience writing and producing country, pop, and rock/metal.
Most recently, I produced "Sequoia" for American singer/songwriter Linney, which was added to heavy rotation on SiriusXM's BPM and Chill stations. I've previously landed on BPM with a record called "U & Me", released by Kastra & twoDB which I wrote and produced, which to date has 3.5 million streams on Spotify alone. In total, my productions over the past 7 years have earned well over 20 million streams.
I will work to make sure that whether you're in need of a catchy topline created from scratch, or you have a vocal that needs to be tuned and mixed, or even if you need full scale music production, your project will get the attention it deserves and I'll do whatever I can to ensure it sounds amazing.
GENERAL TERMS FOR TOPLINING:
-1 major re-write permitted, additional re-writes are at my discretion and subject to additional fees
-2 sets of minor re-writes permitted
-Vocal demo provided for demo use only, never for public release
-Formal topline agreement will be provided

Interview with Brandon Zemel
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been writing songs all my life. I've been producing since around 2010.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I'm particularly proud of the song U & Me that I wrote and co-produced. It went to #8 on the Billboard Dance Airplay chart, #2 on SiriusXM's BPM, and is currently sitting at 2.8 million streams as I write this.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Lena Leon is an amazing vocal producer!
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital. No reason to be on analog gear these days, the plugins and emulators do a great job without the hassle or expense of hardware.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I'll give you the best possible product I can!
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That vocal tuning is simple haha. It isn't! It's extremely time consuming and takes a very well-trained ear to do properly.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Is there a hard deadline? Do you have references for what you want it to sound like?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Be upfront about what you're looking for so I know if I have the skillset required to give you the best possible final product. If I'm not the right guy, I'll be honest and tell you so you can find the right fit.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Laptop, monitors, interface, mic, keyboard.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Armin van Buuren, he's an absolute legend!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: EQ everything! Even if it sounds fine. There is almost always something that can be tamed, or brought up, or eliminated, and all of those small changes add up at the end when it comes time to master and you've taken out all the things that can make an otherwise good master sound cluttered.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Trance and commercial EDM.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Vocal tuning and mixing is probably one of my strongest, I have a very finely tuned ear for hearing things in a vocal that are out of key or otherwise off, and will work diligently to fix those issues.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: A strong attention to detail and passion for making music sound as amazing as it possibly can.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: It really depends on the project, I'm flexible depending on the song's needs.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work "in the box" aside from my monitoring setup, which consists of Yamaha HS7s and an Audient iD14. Within my computer, I work in Logic and have all of the commonly used plugins, including the Waves suite, Fabfilter suite, Melodyne, Autotune, iZotope plugins, Vocalign and more.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I listen to a wide range of music, so I'm inspired by all types of people, ranging from DJ/producers like Illenium for his impeccable production to rock producers like Joey Sturgis who was among the first to mix electronic elements with metal and make it all work together cohesively.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: A mixture of songwriting, vocal production, and mixing/mastering.
