Hi I'm SMK, Music producer, Sound Engineer, Label Owner and Artist. Afrobeat, Dancehall and Pop type of music is my thing. My top credits are Lil Baliil, and Isma IP, two popular Somali artists. Two of my biggest releases have hit over 700k and 1M YouTube streams. I have a Recording Studio in Berlin and work with artists globally.
Throughout my musical career I have transitioned and developed my personal skills multiple times, starting as a Rapper and Singer / songwriter to mixing engineer and now a producer.
In 2013 I moved to Berlin and finished my B.A in Sound Engineering and Music Production. Since then I have worked as a music producer and sound engineer with multiple upcoming and established international artists such as Lil Baliil, Rubin Kind, Isma IP, Roberto Zambia and Chillawe. My work has reached over 6M streams globally.
As I am still an artist myself I have always enjoyed working with vocals. As those are my primary focus when working with artists, I have a keen ear for how a vocal should sit in a song. I have also helped write lyrics, toplines and melodies for various artist when they are stuck on an idea.
With my most recent completed studies, B.A in Music Business, I have yet again developed myself to dive into the Artist Management area in order to help artists develop their skills and brand themselves.
