Chris Harrison on SoundBetter

Professional and college educated musician with 20+ years of experience. Hired by and shared stages with artist such as The Temptations, Trey Anastasio, Cameron Williams, Sam Bush, The Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra, and many others. Precision melodies, jazz/funky solos, elegant classical, and everything in between delivered with heart and soul.

I'm at your service to support your musical dreams become manifested reality! I am passionate about creating music and living a creative life in the magnificent natural environment around the Aspen, Colorado. My love and study of playing music began before high school and continued with the achieving of my graduating with honors from Illinois State University with my degree in Music Education.

After moving to Colorado in 1996, live performing became a main occupation and livelihood for me as a solo acoustic singer/songwriter. I also quickly broke into the local musician circles as an accomplished saxophonist playing rock and funk and became relatively well known for my exciting and skillfully improvised soloing. Rock, Jazz, Funk, R&B, and Blues are some of my favorite styles to work with on alto and tenor saxophone.

Bassoon is my other main instrument and I greatly enjoy playing classical music with the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra and my friends on staff at the Aspen Music Festival and School. I also offer services playing clarinet, electric bass, and acoustic guitar. I am an expert music reader and play easily by ear as well.

Using my complete home studio set up and well versed in audio editing using Abode Audition, your tracks will come clear, clean, and complete as per our open communications before and while working on your project.

I have known Chris for many, many years. He is an outstanding musician, and a stand up guy. I can't believe that his prices are this ridiculously low. Get on it now, before they go up! Chris plays multiple instruments, obviously, and plays them well, in a variety of styles. He is also an educator, and accustomed to people of all temperaments. I have recorded him, both for his projects, and my own, and couldn't be more pleased with the results. Hire him!

I brought Chris into the studio to record a saxophone solo that I had written out but wanted some personal touch. After a couple of runs of it, Chris recorded the solo perfectly and I was very content with what he had done. I highly recommend him, he's very skilled and I would absolutely hire him again.

Our paths have crossed many times over the past 27 years and I have been around his performing and teaching enough to see that Chris has always genuinely cared. This directly translates to his professionalism, desire for growth, and enthusiasm in a way that will make you glad you collaborated with Chris. Your finished product will be for the better to have Chris' name attached.

We hired Chris Harrison to complete the "Good Riddance" music video for International Jazz Day (April 30, 2020). If your project calls for the best of the very, very best then Chris is the perfect saxophonist for your project. It's very difficult to find qualified, educated, highly talented and motivated musicians with such a willing, positive attitude. Chris is the consummate studio musician to hire for your recording project, video or session event. Thank you so much Chris for an outstanding job well done!
    Respectfully,
