My name is Jarrell "The Chop Bandit" Campbell! I'm a Berklee College of Music alumnus with over 20 years of experience in performance & recording. My areas of study include many styles, specializing in Pop, Fusion, Funk, Rock, Hip Hop, and R&B. I've performed with artists such as Mike Stern, Doobie Powel, David Fiuczynski, and the Blue Man Group.
Like many, I began playing drums in church. Quickly gravitating towards Smooth Jazz and R&B, I later got into Fusion and Metal, while developing my sound in Hip Hop. My studio career began in 2013, through recording an album with a group called The Aftervibe. Since then, I've recorded in multiple studios and from home. With the desire to expand my capacity as a musician and producer, and learn more about my craft, I decided to attend Berklee College of Music, where I graduated in 2019. During my time there, I worked with some of the best engineers in the country.

I wrote up a tough chart that gave a few other drummers trouble but I was pleasantly surprised to hear that he not only delivered everything I asked for (including a crazy drum solo) he was able to get it all done within a few days and include all the stems I needed. Total professional, good guy, would recommend!
I was hired to be a part of the rhythm section that had to record a 2 day session for artists of Casita Limon a brand by Sony Music Latino and to my surprise Jarrell was the most prepared and versatile individual from all of us. We did 2 takes per song per artist and the producer ended up choosing most of times the first take because of how natural it was, mostly thanks to Jarrell's drive on the drum set. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Jarrell Is a versatile workhorse when it comes to drumming. Extremely technically proficient with an amazing musical sensibility. No matter what you throw at him, he will nail it and your project will be better for it! Thank me later ;)
