I love writing and adding guitar parts to an artist or songwriter's music and working with the client to reach the sound or part they have in mind!

Tracks featuring my guitar playing have had airplay on worldwide radio including BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music and local BBC radio which also includes live sessions on BBC stations.

I've worked, played with & joined on stage many of my heroes including: Martin Barre (Jethro Tull), Wishbone Ash & many more.

I have been nominated twice for a British Blues Award in 2012 & 2013, 'Young Artist Award'. I am also a Fret King Guitars & Blackstar Amps endorsee.

As a producer I've worked with several well respected musicians including members of 10cc, Jethro Tull, Gary Moore.

I specialise in Rock, Blues & Progressive music.

Interview with Andrew Pipe

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My guitars include a vintage Hamer Sunburst, a Fender 60s Stratocaster and various other electric guitars. Amps include Blackstar & Egnater. I use Logic Pro X and use Focusrite audio interfaces.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: The client sends me the track as a WAV, I will listen and get the overall feel and vibe or the song. Talk to the client what they would like in terms of parts, solos etc. I will then import the track in to Logic and will record my guitar parts, then send back the guitar tracks as isolated WAV files.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Rock, Blues, Prog and just about everything else!
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Melodies and feel.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Good guitar part ideas, ones that fit the vibe and feel of the song. Always looking for melodies in guitar solos if a solo is needed.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Melodic guitar players that have great feel and play for the song, but also aren't afraid to take centre stage when needed!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Adding guitar parts to an artist, producer or songwriters track or album.
