Interview with whoismedusa

  1. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  2. A: I've started in 2017 and began to get my first small placements early/mid 2019. Got my biggest Placement in March 2020 (Luciano - Trippin) - which has 3,8 Million Views on Youtube and over 15 Million on Spotify

  3. Q: How would you describe your style?

  4. A: Dark/Mysterious, Hard Hitting Drums & Bass

  5. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  6. A: Travis Scott, because he got a unique Vision for his projects, and if you listen to Birds or Rodeo you can tell it still sounds as if it would've been released today

  7. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  8. A: Keep it simple! The Beat should sound interesting, but you shouldnt overproduce it. Take out instruments after a couple bars, or add new percussion the next.

  9. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  10. A: Mostly Trap and Drill Beats, I've been working on some Rap Albums with German and US. Artists which are set to be released in October/November.

  11. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  12. A: Building a connection between the Beat and the Vocals - Our Final Product will sound like a complete song we made in the Studio together.

  13. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  14. A: A interesting beat, which sounds up to date with todays music, while still having its own unique style without stealing the listeners attention from the main vocals

  15. Q: What's your typical work process?

  16. A: When making beats, i usually start with the main melody/chords, after that i do a basic drum layout and continue with counter melodies / accents, then ill get back to the drums and make them bouncier/more unique and finally i'll get to the mixing.

  17. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  18. A: Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, Beyerdynamic DT990

  19. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  20. A: Allen Ritter, Mike Dean, Cubeatz, Murda Beatz, Frank Dukes, Metro Boomin

  21. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  22. A: Create Beats either from scratch or build instrumentals around their vocals/acapella
