Welcome to my page! My name is Carmen, I am a songwriter with 15 years of experience. I have toured internationally and played festivals all over the world. I have written critically acclaimed songs and released albums on a number of boutique record labels. I own a studio in my hometown of Toronto where I work as a voice actor and singer for hire, as well as producing and co-writing tracks with many wonderful talented artists. I specialize in lyric writing, topline melody and can shred a mean guitar part too!
I love to collaborate and help projects find their highest vibration and won't be happy until YOU are satisfied with the result. I use an SM7B, a UA Arrow and Logic Pro X. My go to plug ins are the iZotop suite, Soundtoys and Valhalla Vintage Verb.

A: Breezy, cool, sweet and spicy

A: I would love to work with Blood Orange. I love his tracks, I love his musicality, style and originality.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Put a nice reverb on an aux track and light a candle to get the ultimate vibe while recording vocals ;)

A: Pop, electronic, indie rock, folk, r&b, EDM
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I excel when working with lyric and melody together at the same time. I absolutely love helping to bring songs to life. I will write lyrics to any topic that bring an extra dimension to a killer track

A: Evocative lyrics, emotive vocal performances, exciting topline melodies and infectious harmonies!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: After speaking with the client I will create a verse and chorus with melodies and lyrics and some harmonies if necessary. I will deliver a bounce of the song to the client and get feedback. Then I will complete the song factoring in the feedback and deliver raw tunes .wav files within the proposed time frame.
