Dmitry Greenberg on SoundBetter

Do you love infectious grooves, lush harmonies, and timeless Soul-meets-Pop energy? Hey, me too! My goal is to help artists craft originally sounding pop tracks that move both the body and the heart. Let’s make something soulful, catchy, and unforgettable together!

I’m a producer and keyboardist with a deep love for Soul, R&B, Jazz, Pop-Rock and related genres, blending them into vibrant tracks with emotional depth and modern polish. My productions combine live musicianship and electronic textures to create a rich, organic sound that stands out.

Whether you need a full production from your demo, help with arrangement, or a mix - I’ll bring groove, warmth, and personality to your music.

With me, you can also produce yourself from start to finish while learning in the process - I offer an interactive option where we set up a series of Zoom sessions (4/week for a whole month) and follow a specific roadmap from inception all the way to the final mix. It's essentially a hybrid program combining education and music production - one that leaves you with a finished song AND a real hands-on production experience, at a fraction of what you'd otherwise spend on hiring a producer AND a tutor.

My ultimate goal is to make your song sound truly unique,so that it reflects your creative persona instead of blindly copying reference tracks.

If this sounds appealing to you, hit me up and let's start creating!

Here are a few examples of my recent work in different genres (100% MIDI programmed):

Interview with Dmitry Greenberg

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: An eclectic mix of other people's songs and a few of my own.

  3. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  4. A: Mariami, for sure

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: If it's a great piece of music, do we really care?

  7. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  8. A: Your success is my success. I will absolutely respect your wishes and ideas, and I will treat your song as if it were my own.

  9. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  10. A: Seeing the author's/artist's face when they listen to the finished song for the first time.

  11. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  12. A: "Can we do another revision?" "Absolutely!" (unless it means re-writing the song because it deviates way too much from the original idea)

  13. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  14. A: The biggest one is probably the myth of being able to "fix it in the post-production". Sooner or later, we all realize that no amount of mixing and mastering will make up for a sloppy performance, bad recording, or poor sound selection.

  15. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  16. A: I let music speak for itself :)

  17. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  18. A: Keyboard/synth, laptop, headphones, mic, audio interface

  19. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  20. A: I would love to work with Bruno Mars one day :) He's a phenomenal vocalist, musician, and songwriter - I'm sure I could learn a lot from even a single day in the studio with him.

  21. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  22. A: "Done" is better than "Perfect"

  23. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  24. A: If I had to choose one, I'd probably say, "programming MIDI parts that sound "musical" - be it drums, bass, guitars, strings, or anything else".

  25. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  26. A: My ears, musical taste, deep understanding of music theory/harmony, decades of experience as a performing musician - but most importantly, the desire to create something truly special and unique.

  27. Q: What's your typical work process?

  28. A: The first and necessary step is to fall in love with the song even before I start fleshing it out. The rest will come!

  29. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  30. A: Mac for Logic Pro/PC for Cubase, tons of plugins, and a couple of old favorite hardware synths: Yamaha Motif XS8 and Korg KRONOS.

  31. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  32. A: Sting, Michael Jackson, Earth Wind & Fire, Al Jarreau, Quincy Jones, Mark Ronson... the list goes on and on!

  33. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  34. A: Writing/co-writing, arranging, producing, mixing, mastering
