Jon DeLeon

Producer, Sessioner, & Mixer!

Jon DeLeon on SoundBetter

With over 20 years of experience, I can help you turn that idea in your mind into a musical masterpiece! Do you need heavy guitar recorded for your work? Done. Got a track that needs that professional push to make it radio ready? I got you. Have an idea for a Billboard ranking song and need someone to get you there? Look no further!

Howdy! I'm a producer, editor, mixing engineer, and multi-instrumentalist. I record electric and acoustic guitar, bass guitar, live drums, make beats and programmed drums. Although I specialize in heavy rock/metal music, I've worked with artists from many genres, including Gospel, Funk, Pop-Rock, and much more, so I'm open to working with any artist from any genre!

Music is my God-given calling and full time following, and in addition to working on my own music (check out Of The Lion on Spotify), I'm honored to be able to share that passion with you by putting all efforts into any and all projects that I collaborate on, as if they were my own. And, since we have the advantage of being in a digital age, it doesn't matter where in the world you are, we'll work closely together as if we're side by side in my studio, from end to end. I use consistent and effective communication to ensure that you never miss a beat. I also have a quick turnaround, so we can get your project off the ground right away!

Every musician is unique in every way - so I work with you based on your budget, not on preset price tags.

Interview with Jon DeLeon

  1. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  2. A: I have a simple acronym I use to sum up my promise to clients - GIRGID. Get It Right, Get It Done. It's YOUR song, YOUR vision, YOUR project, I'm just happy to be a part of it!

  3. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  4. A: Aside from getting to work on music full time, I can relate to those in the mechanical or medical field, who are constantly learning about new things. Each day I work on something, I not only have a blast, but I ALWAYS learn something new.

  5. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  6. A: Don't be afraid to take the plunge and get your music out there! I can make your vision become reality while fitting what works for YOU, never the other way around!

  7. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  8. A: I'd love to work with Christian Metal artists like Fit For A King or Skillet. I mean, come on, getting to play some heavy music and glorifying God at the same time? You can't go wrong!

  9. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  10. A: Don't worry about perfection. Whatever you're working on, Nike that bad boy and Just Do It, but give it your full focus. You'll find your groove and the rest will take care of itself.

  11. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  12. A: Lately, I've been in the metal and rock arena, but I'm open to ANY genre, so come one, come all!

  13. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  14. A: I've got a CyberPower PC with FL Studio 20 on it, running two monitors to maximize workspace productivity. I've got my guitars and drums right next to me at the ready, so everything I need is in my reach. I typically use my Line 6 PODxt for my amps and cabinet sounds, as I've found recording direct with thousands of amps and cabs at the ready is a lot easier to manage, especially since I've slowly invested over in all of this myself, thanks to God for providing for all of it!

  15. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  16. A: Anyone and everyone who is brave enough to get it done!

  17. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  18. A: I've worked with local artists here in South Florida, so some of the most common work I do is session work (recording guitar, bass, and drum parts for songs), Producing, and Mixing.
