Incredible working dinamic with Dbmix Studios. The mixed and mastered my song "Magia" and the difference between the main song and the mastered one is undeniable. They were very atentive with us; we were oriented about mixing and mastering processes, what would sound better, new ideas. They get into your song and that's something I apreciate.
There are tons of good recording and mixing studios but good professional mastering studios are hard to find. DBmix is one of them. They definitely have the equipment, the knowledge and the experience. Fully recomended.

Interview with dBMix Studios
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Analog and digital. They are different colors. We usually work with the best of both worlds. Although we are not going to lie to you; We love the warm and deep sound of our analog equipment. But, both worlds allow us to have a wide range of possibilities.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: We will treat your music with great respect, and we will achieve a warm, clean, powerful and great sound maintaining the most, dynamics and impact. We will achieve a homogeneous and consistent sound throughout your disc.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: To be able to listen to music of different genres and from different places of the world every day. Discover talented artists and incredible music.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What kind of music do you work with? What dynamic range do you want for your album or song? How loud do you want your master? Is there a disc that you like a lot as it sounds and that serves as reference for the mastering process?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Work with us. You will not regret it. We love what we do, we have the training, the experience and a great Mastering Facility.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: iMac, our 2 Focal Trio6 be for monitoring, API 2500, Manley Pultec, and our Dangerous Music Monitor ST. But it's a hard decision to make. We have only great gears.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Well, It is important that the mixing engineer has the ability to properly monitor low frequencies. We often get songs mixed with uncontrolled and diffuse low frequencies. That is the most common problem we have to deal with. It is important a good monitoring that guarantees a great mix to achieve the best mastering process.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Thinking that mastering is just about accomplish much volume. It's much more than that. Another mistake maybe it's the thought that if you mixed it, you can be the mastering engineer too. Objectivity is lost.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I think the most important thing we bring to a song is consistency, impact, clean, warm and powerful sound without losing its original dynamic, always seeking to preserve the musicality. It is an art achieve this, and we have the training, experience and equipment to do it efficiently. We love music.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Normally our process begins by carefully listening to the music to be mastered to make the decision whether it is necessary to send a report with suggestions to improve the mix for mastering or not. Every step need to be good, starting with the tracking. And the master will be as good as the mix. If necessary then we send a Mix Coaching at no extra cost. Once the mix is ready to be mastered we sat down to listen to music to calibrate our ears for a few minutes, we hear the reference track if it was delivered. Preferably we try to work in the morning, because the ears are less fatigued. When we are ready we start the mastering.
