I am a singer/topline writer & lyricist with 20 years experience.
I studied at the prestigious vocal school "Vocal-Tech" in London. Twice participated in the Macedonian contest for the Eurovision Song Contest.
As well as the folky scene I have been a success on the EDM Scene with several songs of over half a million views on Youtube and Soundcloud.
Listeners have often commented on the similarity of my vocal with Ellie Goulding's.

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I worked on a song with Italian chart topper "Jutty Ranx". Me and the main singer Justin Taylor did a duet that got published by Universal Music France. It was a very unique experience where the whole collaboration happened online & we live in an age where this is possible, which is amazing.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: My own material under the name of Yova, first album under this name is out this year. I however have had many releases and also a folky album under the name Yova Radevska.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Not yet, but will update this field as I know more.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I have the belief that both have their advantages, especially having worked on different kind of music. I may be inclined more towards the analogue with the help of the digital.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: You will receive unique performance, I always write with meaning in mind.

A: The fact that there is always new music to look forward to, new ideas that come out of me & my fellow musicians.

A: Can you do some ad libs? I love playing with ad libs, I think I must have been an ad libber in my previous life :)

A: Doing music is not perceived to be a vocation by a lot of people, but that's ok, we came into this world to follow our own bliss :)

A: Be sure I would deliver as if I was writing for myself.

A: I have worked as a songwriter for over 15 years, but as a singer a lot longer.

A: My personal style is indie/alternative & also folky, however in the past decade I stumbled across the EDM Scene & had subsequent success, especially Beatport charting.

A: Bjork, she doesn't keep to formulas.

A: Less is more :)
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: As I am a recording artist, in my free time I work on my new releases under the name Yova. I also collaborate on EDM Songs I connect to by writing & recording for them.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Emotion, melody
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Unique voice, deep emotion, meaning.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: When I hear a track I rely on my intuitiveness to get the words flowing. I see what stands out from my inspiration & I shape the song around a particular hook, chorus. The process is more of a channelling ideas.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a Neumann TLM 102 microphone, was advised by a Sound engineer that the Neumann mikes are best suited to my voice. I also use Focusrite as an amp. My recordings with my set up have already been mixed by Grammy nominated Cameron Craig & published.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Bjork for her creativity, Patti Smith for her audaciousness, Benjamin Clementine for breaking the mould of what a song is supposed to sound like.
