Interview with James "Jaska" Miller
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Currently, assisting Immortal Guardian on their new album before sending it out for post
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started as a musician playing guitar and piano, but realized I wasn't very good. Then, my church upgraded their production and nobody in the congregation knew how to run it. I went home and spent the next couple weeks just focused on basics and convinced the pastor to let me try. I was 16 and have been doing live sound ever since
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Usually metal, but have been doing a lot more EDM tours lately
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Load in/Load out, stage setup, advancing of shows, stage plot and input list creation, mix FOH or monitors
