I am a professional banjo player and producer. I like things with strings. In June 2020 Banjo Newsletter, the popular magazine about the instrument, reviewed his album "InstruMental Vol.2" and defined Andrea “…fine young Banjo player with a melodic bent…” [Banjo Newsletter June 2020]
Italian banjo player...sounds weird, I know. I'm just a misplaced man deeply in love with American culture.
Since 2016 he's a member of the Italian folk band Shiver, which he toured with Davide Van De Sfroos until the final show at the San Siro Stadium with more than 20,000 people.
In 2017 he started a musical partnership with Mr. Bigoni, a talented musician sharing the same deep passion for American music, forming a versatile duo with banjo, mandolin, acoustic guitar and foot percussion... sure to make you stomp your feet!
In 2018 he joined Folkamiseria, a band that proudly crosses between funky and fiddle tunes; with them he performed in some of the best Celtic and folk festivals in Italy and Europe.
Since 2021 he's a member of Mercanti di Liquore, a leading name in the Italian "Folk Cantautorato" scene.
He currently teaches banjo and mandolin in various schools and with an intense online lessons activity that brought him students from all over the world.
In October 2022 he toured the US with the new trad quartet GADAN, twenty concerts in a row, including legendary Club Passim in Boston and The Rockwood Music Hall in NYC.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Listen carefully to the song. Music is art, I mean, it's hard to go really wrong...if you do it's because you can't listen and understand the right rule of your instrument in a track.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I've worked on most common "banjo friendly" styles, Bluegrass, Americana, Old Time...folk music in general. But I've also recorded for various artist from Pop to Electronic Music (sampling my banjo)
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I think that Banjo is a good texture to add in various genre of music, if played well, right in context, it can give groove or melody.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I listen carefully to the song, paying attention of the feel, and following the instruction I've received I set up all the gear is needed and I start tracking.
