Alex is a perfectionist - he won’t be satisfied until your satisfied, and the mix is perfect and he is willing to go the extra mile to see this through. You will also benefit from his insight and deep understanding of the mechanics of the music industry due to his years of experience. Booking with Alex is something you won’t regret.

I've worked with Alex for over 10 years and what sets him apart from other engineers is his production ear. He isn't just interested in making what you provide sound good but he'll offer suggestions on how you can make songs sound better too. A great mix of technical know-how and musical knowledge. Ultimate professional.

  4. A: A new Show reel from mixes off a free website to improve your mixing and some songs for a producer named Shaun Stewart.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: I don't know anyone on here personally I'm sure there are engineers I know of here.

  8. A: Both I could not choose - to hard to make that choice.

  9. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  16. A: Do good research and keep your options open (don't overlook anyone) Because you never know what someone could bring to the table. Don't be tricked by hype or credits etc use your EARS!

  17. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  18. A: Not got a set Genre, would say I can get to the Goal with some Genres quicker than others, But I feel all Engineers are the same in regards to this. Then their are likely Genres of music that I would fail at and others be Great and efficient in working on them.

  19. Q: What's your typical work process?

  20. A: Mixing and bringing out the best in peoples sound. Hitting their goals of sound and taking it that final step. To get it right where it needs to be. This is done via good communication and a great understanding of what the artist/producer wants for there mix.

  21. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  22. A: Use your Ears - Forget about the Rules - Don't make it about equipment. As someone pointed out to me today a Grammy winning album was recently done with 3k worth of gear! :)

  30. A: Mixing Engineers and Producers from a wide range of musical Genres

  31. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  32. A: Mixing and Recording

  33. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  34. A: some form of a computer interface maybe a motu or some form of good all rounder ssl sigma Monitors 1 Mic (thats a hard one) wait is there a power supply there LOL ?

  35. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  36. A: 10+ Years from the Atari with a Roland, to the new age of music tech. I wish I got into this earlier, HoweverI was not alive then. I wish I could have been doing this in the late 70s into the 80s to current. You guys that did must have had a blast!!

  37. Q: How would you describe your style?

  38. A: Efficient and Professional

  39. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  40. A: MJ - who would not could not think of a reason as to why not, Name a MJ song that has had a bad mix. This is a tricky question there are so many would love to really get to work with. But MJ over them all tbh :)

  41. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
