I am a professional vibraphone and marimba player specialising in jazz and creative music for the last 40 years. I have toured and recorded extensively with Georgie Fame and the Blue Flames and the BBC Big Band as well as Charlie Watts' Tentet and countless others.
In my home studio I enjoy the creative process of discovering music and exploring the various ways in which the vibraphone (and marimba) can enhance a track.
Harmonic colour, soloing, doubling existing melodies, chords and riffs on the vibes can add real sparkle to a track and I enjoy the process of exploration, allowing the music to reveal what the role of the mallet instruments should be.
