Hey there! My name is Adam, and I produce under the name Light City Lights. I am a multi-genre producer that has cuts in nearly every genre. My specialties include vocal and drum production. Whether you have the full song completed or just have a work tape, I combine your specific musical influences to create a signature sound that is uniquely yours. I offer a 7 day turnaround time for the first version of the song and unlimited revisions until you are happy with the product. If you are local to Nashville, we can cut at my studio. If not, I work with many artists remotely on both sides of the coast and have figured out a good method of collaboration. Check out my song samples to see if I would be a good fit for your project, and if you like what you hear, please reach out! Looking forward to meeting you! Also! If you would like to see me produce in real time before reaching out, hop on over to my twitch channel - https://www.twitch.tv/lightcitylights. Talk soon!

Would love to hear from you. Click the contact button above to get in touch.

Interview with Light City Lights

  1. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  2. A: Definitely shop around and find a producer that has the sound you are looking for. It is very rare these days to have one person produce every song an album - and I think there's beauty in diversity!

  3. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  4. A: It's not the gear or plug-ins you have, it's what you do with it. Some of the best songs ever produced were created on simple set-ups.

  5. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  6. A: I think my strongest is probably vocal production - honestly vocals are my favorite instrument to work with.

  7. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  8. A: I bring strong vocal production, at track (beat-driven or drums driven) that cuts through, and a little bit of a mix of pop, soul and country genres to every song I produce.

  9. Q: What's your typical work process?

  10. A: I request a worktape, lyric sheet, and 2-3 reference tracks from the client. After receiving vocals stems (either done here in the studio or online) I turn around the first pass within 1 week. I send back the song for any edits or changes, and once the client is happy, mix, master and deliver the final product!

  11. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  12. A: I have a home recording studio in Nashville. It includes a vocal booth in which I also cut acoustic guitar in. I'm running Pro Tools 12 and using an Apollo Twin interface. For monitors, I love mixing on HS7s and then finishing off the low end with some KRKs.

  13. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  14. A: Too many to name..... favorite artist of all time is Elton John. Favorite producers - Mark Ronson, Joey Moi, Max Martin, David Foster, Babyface... I could go on forever. There's killer producers in every genre so you have to listen to everything!

  15. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  16. A: I oftentimes take a song from a guitar-vocal or a piano-vocal and bring it to life, adding all the production elements you would hear in a radio-ready song.
