Many people say my voice reminds them of Janis Joplin, probably because of the rasp that she is so known for, and which I also use sometimes. I'd say that my voice has a "bluesy tone", and I can use a lot of twang and also distortion to give a song the power and fire that it needs, but as my voice is very versatile, it is also suitable for softer parts of a song, as I also have a quite smooth head voice.
